Dudley Hustings 2024

Beacon Hill Academy, part of Dudley Academies Trust, is working in collaboration with Black Country Radio and local Independent Councillor Shaun Keasey to host the 2024 General Election Hustings for the Dudley Constituency.

The event details are as follows: 

  • Date: Wednesday 26th June 2024. 
  • Timings: 19:00 until 20:30. 
  • Location: Beacon Hill Academy, High Arcal Drive, Dudley, DY3 1BP. 

Five candidates have confirmed their attendance at the event: 

  • Conservative Party – Marco Longhi.
  • Green Party – Zia Qari. 
  • Labour Party – Sonia Kumar. 
  • Liberal Democrats – Ian Flynn. 
  • Reform UK – Andrew Southall. 
  • Workers Party of Britain - Aftab Hussain. 

Ticket Admission Only

 Admission to the event is by ticket only. We ask that those who wish to attend, register an interest to the event in the first instance. This will support with planning for the event and help to ensure a balanced audience.

As this event will be attended by the press and live-streamed, all participants consent to the possibility of their image and comments appearing on social media platforms, websites, and other promotional materials related to the Dudley Hustings.

Those selected to attend will receive a ticket via email three to five days prior to the event. 

 

Further details for the event are provided below: 

  • The Hustings will be presented by local journalist, radio, and television presenter Adrian Goldberg. 
  • The event will also be recorded by Black Country Radio for broadcast prior to the general election. 
  • Other media and press sources have been invited to attend the event. 
  • The event will include an opening from each candidate, followed by six sections for questions.
  • SIA accredited security staff will be in attendance as provided and arranged by Counsellor Keasey. 
  • Representatives from Beacon Hill Academy have notified West Midlands Police of the event.
