Sustaining Success at Beacon Hill Academy

Once again, learners at Beacon Hill Academy have achieved excellent GCSE results, further solidifying the exceptional performance profile that the school has maintained in recent years. These results also affirm the well-deserved recognition received during our recent Ofsted inspection which praised the school for being a place “where everyone goes the extra mile for their pupils”.

Amongst the notable successes are Natasha H, who attained seven Grade 9s and a distinction in Music; Fraser C, who achieved two Grade 9s, four Grade 8s, and two Grade 7s; and Manaal K, who secured two Grade 9s, three Grade 8s, one Grade 7, and two distinctions. All of these learners have not only met but exceeded the entry requirements for their chosen courses at prestigious local colleges.

Principal Sukhjot Dhami remarked, “Our learners have again worked incredibly hard this year, and both learners, families and staff deserve congratulations for this superb set of results. This cohort has achieved remarkable progress from starting points. Nearly all of our learners will be progressing to college to pursue A-levels or other Level 3 qualifications, and we are deeply proud of their exceptional achievements.”

Jo Higgins, Chief Executive Officer said: “This year, 2024 outcomes are the best that have ever been achieved by schools in our Trust. All schools improved on last year’s results and more learners than ever achieved the higher grades, 7 to 9. I am delighted that all our schools are sustaining success enabling our learners to have the best life chances possible. The Trust’s aspirant culture and positive climate for learning are strong features of our schools and it is great to see that this year’s results correlate to recent Ofsted’s inspections which resulted in good judgments. Today, it is wonderful to see the rewards for our learners’ hard work and determination to dream big and achieve. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff for their ongoing support and commitment to our learners and to their parents and carers for working with us to ensure that our young people can flourish. Congratulations and best wishes to our year 11 learners as they move onto the next phase of their education, and I wish them every success for their future.”

Mayor of the West Midlands, Richard Parker offered his congratulations and some words of encouragement to anxious pupils getting their GCSE results at a school in the Black Country today (Thursday August 22).
